Dogs can use ladders...

Erika bought a life jacket for the dog to go in to the pool. Like all Labs seem to, she loves the water. After we took a swimming break for lunch, the kids got back in. Well Maui wasn't supposed to go back in but she figured out how to go up the pool ladder and get into the pool on her own and took the plunge. Now she swims and plays, jacket or not and uses the floats when she needs a break as she can get on and off those on her own as well.

Our Garden

Our sun flowers made it past the squirrel stage this year and are up to about 6ft tall and a long ways to go as the heads are just barely forming. Overall, they should finish around 10ft to 12ft tall. Our corn is about 4ft tall and most of the stalks have at least one ear of corn. It may only be enough for one meal but itll taste better when its home grown maybe?

Quick shot from a wedding we went to today for Erika's hairdresser. Came out good for being a cell phone picture. We're even more sure we'll be just having a quickie wedding.

Swimming

I spent Saturday night hooking up the last of the pool pump to make sure everything was leak proof before we brought the water level up to the skimmer. All was set after running the hose for a week, 4-6 hours a day, so after adding chemicals, the water was swimmable sunday. The boys spent most of the day in the pool and were drained by the end of the day. Cosmo got some blisters on his hands because he kept going around the wall hand over hand rather than floating around in the middle. His hands hurt him so much at the end of the day that he had to hold ice packs and use aloe to try and help. Hopefully he heals up quick as he cant wait to get back in.
